I'm Dana.
I signed into Blogger to follow my boyfriend's sister's posts about her journey with Americorps, and found that I already had an account floating around out there. I posted photos of one of my trips to New York City in 2006.
A little about me:
I'm 32 (I'll be turning 33 in 8 days!)
I live in Buffalo, NY
I have a 15 year old daughter (and it's weird. lol)
I attend SUNY Buffalo State for Elementary Education
I find that I tend to obsess over random topics. I will read a news story, and will start researching the background on it-- absorbing all the surrounding information, looking at pictures, finding websites.
If it is a crime, I will look up the people's names and find their websites, locate police reports, etc.
It's a bit odd, I suppose, but once something piques my interest, I like to find out as much information about it as I possibly can.
In recent months I have wasted hours researching:
The Adirondacks- namely The Saranac Inn
Neil Entwistle
Cupcake recipes and decorating ideas
Antique medical equipment
The Dakota building in NYC
(...anything about NYC, really. Especially the subways.)
Usually I will locate an article or watch a movie and will find myself craving more information about something I read or see. I would think this would be an attribute--thirsting for knowledge--but sometimes it's a huge time sucker!
